Rock my world!

Day one of rocking the garden.  (Mama rocked the garden & I helped!  – Libya)

On Thursday, we had three scoops of mountain brook rocks delivered to the house. We wanted to purchase rocks that were similar to the ones we already had in the front yard.  The rocks in the front yard had been purchased by the bag-full & transported in the car.  This time we wanted less packaging & a larger quantity.

In the past, the area shown in the pictures was overgrown with mint & vinca vine.  Several times, I had removed all of it, only for it to come back later – with millions of weeds too.

What I like about rocks is that they stay put whereas mulch goes away & needs to be replaced each year.

Rocking the garden is hard work.  There may be a better way to do this, but all we have is a little red wagon & two shovels – one of which is for snow!

There are so many rocks left in the pile, however it has been extremely rainy & the work has been delayed.  Hopefully we will complete some more of the project.

By the way, as you have noticed there will not be daily posts on this blog, like there are on “Purrfect Society”, but I plan to try for three a week.

Thanks for reading,

Abigail
